The Visayan Journal of Science, Technology, and Innovation (VJSTI) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes original scholarly works across a wide range of disciplines, including health, genomics, molecular biology, mathematics, engineering, information technology, food science, chemistry, fisheries, and agriculture. It releases one volume annually, featuring research that contributes to scientific and technological advancements in the Visayas.
VJSTI accepts a variety of scholarly contributions, including original research articles, review papers, short communications, policy briefs, technical notes, and letters to the editor.
ESTABLISHMENT
The journal was established through RDC VI Resolution No. 77, Series of 2020, approved by the Regional Development Council VI (RDC VI) upon the endorsement of the Regional Research, Development, and Innovation Committee (RRDIC). This initiative was made possible through the partnership between the Department of Science and Technology Regional Office VI (DOST VI) and the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV). Together, these institutions laid the foundation for the journal, setting up its organizational structure and operational framework to support and sustain high-quality research publication in the region.
